September is continuing to show significant dynamics in the national housing and financial markets. This is continued good news for the Huntsville real estate market. The good news for the Huntsville market came on two events. First, the Treasury Department took control of the financial giants Freddie Mac and Fannie May and investors have responded in a positive manor for the home buyer and building industry. After the announcement, interest rate fell to the lowest point this year. Thirty year conforming loans fell to 5.625%, 15 year rates fell to 5.25%. For individuals planning on making a change in the place the call home, this is a very good time to make the move.
Second, new data was released for the Huntsville real estate market for same house sale comparisons. The data shows that the Huntsville ranked 19th nationally for a balanced real estate market.In the past three months, housing prices rose 1.03% and 4.51% for the past year. For the past five years, the Huntsville Market has risen 31.59%.
